“Fair trade means more jobs for hardworking Americans. If we can grow our exports, we will better Florida’s economy as we send our goods, services, and products to people around the world.
“As a member of the House Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee, I’ve worked to expand international trade and investment opportunities that create jobs and grow our economy, while also protecting businesses here at home. With Florida’s robust export base, from tomatoes and aerospace to medical technology and tourism, trade is vital to our state’s economy.
“International trade supports over 39 million American jobs, including more than 2 million in Florida. The vast majority of Florida exporters are small and mid-sized businesses with fewer than 500 employees, making free and fair trade agreements essential to opening new markets for American-made goods and services.
“I remain committed to advancing trade policies that put American workers first, strengthen our supply chains and give Florida businesses the tools to compete and win in the global economy.”
