Congressional Art Competition
Every year, the U.S. House of Representatives sponsors a Congressional Art Competition for high school students across our nation.
Congressional Education Awards
Congressman Vern Buchanan established the Congressional Education Awards in 2014 to give special recognition to the outstanding teachers, administrators, and support staff in Florida’s 16th Congressional District.
Congressional Fire & Rescue EMS Awards
Congressman Vern Buchanan established the Fire and Rescue EMS Awards in 2010 to give special recognition to the first responders who have provided distinguished service to his constituents.

Congressional Veteran Commendation
The Congressional Veteran Commendation (CVC) is a nominations-based program intended to recognize the exceptional military and community service of veterans residing in Florida’s 16th Congressional District.
