I am humbled to represent a region home to more than 66,000 armed service members who have served our country with great distinction. As a former member of the Veterans Affairs Committee, I am fighting every day to ensure these brave men and women receive the care and benefits they deserve.
Recent allegations of misconduct at VA medical facilities are extremely disturbing. That’s why I voted for legislation to allow veterans to seek treatment outside the VA system when delays become unacceptable. Every veteran has earned the right to timely access to quality medical care.
